Mizuno Signs Exciting Jamaican Defender Latanya Wilson
Mizuno are very excited to announce the signing of Jamaican and Adelaide Thunderbirds player Latanya Wilson. Latanya has just joined the Thunderbirds team for the 2021 season after coming across from the Celtic Dragons in the Vitality Super league in the UK. The 20 year old has already debut at international level representing Jamaica at the 2017 Youth World Cup and made her senior team debut during the Vitality Test series at the beginning of 2020. Known for her incredible athleticism Wilson is touted as one of the most exciting new talents to hit SSN court in 2021.
Some of the many achievements in Latanya’s career so far include:
- Jamaican National team member 2020-present
- Adelaide Thunderbirds team member 2021
- Celtic Dragons Team Member (UK) 2020
- Jamaican Netball Youth World Cup Team 2017
- JPCYT Barbados Most Valuable Player 2016
Latanya Wilson joins a number of Jamaican superstars playing in Australia including fellow Mizuno athlete Jodi-Ann Ward who joined the Mizuno family back in June 2020. Off-court Latanya is currently studying Business at Mico University. On court this season you will see her sporting the new Wave Momentum 2. Mizuno look forward to supporting Latanya in 2021 as she takes her netball career to new levels in Australia.
