WAVE RIDER 27 SSW - THE JOURNEY

For runners of all experience levels seeking a lightweight and stable daily trainer that features well-balanced cushioning.

Ideal for easy, long and tempo runs.

JOURNEY ARTWORK

Designed by indigenous artist Rheanna Lotter, the Journey artwork consists of circles representing the states and territories of Australia, tracks between them representing the interconnectedness of athletes from different backgrounds, and boomerangs highlighting the challenges the athletes have faced as they headed towards the Paralympic games with determination and competitive spirit.

WAVE PLATE TECHNOLOGY

Wave Plate Technology delivers smooth feeling stability without increasing weight, adding integrity to the midsole foam and creating a more propulsive transition. Greater medial, lateral and torsional support compensate for the thicker and softer midsole to maintain a stable ride.

INCREASED COMFORT AND PERFORMANCE

MIZUNO ENERZY foam used throughout the entire midsole enhances comfort and delivers even more energy return for a more efficient ride.

ADAPTABLE AND DYNAMIC UPPER

Updated Smooth Stretch Woven upper is lighter weight and more breathable for an enhanced fit that expertly adapts to the shape of your foot throughout the run.

PROPULSIVE FOREFOOT GEOMETRY

A single vertical flex groove throughout the forefoot decreases flexibility and increases responsiveness, enhancing the propulsive feel from midstance to toe-off.

STABLE NEUTRAL

The stable neutral midsole construction with Wave Plate technology makes the Wave Rider 27 an ideal shoe for medical referrals and for those using an orthotic device.

SUSTAINABILITY

More than 50% recycled content on upper body textile More than 90% recycled content on upper body lining textile. More than 90% recycled content on sockliner lining. Plant-based Wave Plate made with Pebax Rnew®.

FIT ADVICE

A smoother fitting heel counter holds the foot securely, while the midfoot feels snugger than the previous model. The forefoot tapers off a little earlier than the Wave Rider 26, giving it a snugger feel with not as much volume, so we recommend going up half a size for the best fit.

Unisex Sizing

For a women’s fit when ordering "unisex" shoes, please order 1.5 sizes smaller than your usual US Women’s size. E.g. if you usually fit a US Women’s 9, please order a Unisex US 7.5.

Get Fit

We always recommend heading to your local running store to be measured up, however if you can’t make it into store as an alternative, we recommend measuring your feet at home by following these easy steps:

What you will need:
  • Pen/Pencil
  • Paper
  • Ruler/measuring tape
    1. Place the piece of paper under your foot and stand with your heel against a wall
    2. Trace your foot as closely as possible
(Be sure to trace both feet, as one foot is often longer than the other)
    3. With the tracing measure a straight line from the back of the heel to the longest toe
(This will give you the length of your foot in centimetres)
    4. Add 1-1.5cm to this measurement to give you the most accurate length for your shoes
    5. Take this total measurement in cm and using our international sizing chart match it to your US size.
