One of Australia's brightest young netball talents Matilda McDonell has joined Mizuno's team of sponsored athletes. 18 year old McDonell recently signed with Suncorp Super Netball League side Giants Netball for the 2019 season. She has come through the Netball NSW pathways, playing in the NSW premier league and part of the NSWIS super club team.

The athletic defender has come off an impressive season showing great potential in the 2018 Australian Netball League and is ready to take the next step in her career as a Giant. Mizuno Australia's Head of Sport Shane Holub was excited with the addition, saying; "Matilda is the perfect fit for Mizuno. She possesses many great qualities on and off court, she is a determined young athlete on the rise and we are excited to be on this journey with her. On top of this she loves our Netball product and is very passionate which further clarifies why she is the perfect addition" Some of Matilda's achievements thus far include:

  • National Representation: 19/U Australian squad member (2018) Australian School Girls 15/U (2015)

  • NSWIS Super Club Team: (2018)
  • NSWIS Netball Scholarship holder: (2018,2019)
